Allison and Jacob held their wedding at Greengate Ranch & Vineyard in San Luis Obispo. As a Central Coast-based wedding planner, designer, and florist, I worked with the couple to integrate several personal and architectural details into the ranch setting.  It’s always so fun to create spaces in new and unique ways – click here to see another Greengate design in this same space!

Wedding Ceremony at the Greengate Pond

The ceremony featured a few departures from tradition. The bridesmaids walked down the aisle carrying baskets of flowers rather than standard bouquets. For the ceremony backdrop, we designed a floral installation on vintage church windows, creating a focal point that complemented the views of the lake.

An Immersive Reception Entrance at the Stables

To transition into the reception, we designed an immersive tunnel leading into the stables. Guests walked through a passage of greenery, twinkle lights, and candles, which served as a sensory bridge between the outdoor ceremony and the indoor dinner.

Personal Touches and Design

In lieu of traditional wedding favors, the couple included a display of wedding photos of all their guests. This surprise allowed guests to see their own history integrated into the day.

The reception design utilized a palette of vibrant pink and orange flowers. To alter the scale of the stable ceiling and provide a warm glow, we installed soft lampshades over the dance floor.  Floor to Ceiling Draping softened the stable space.
