At Tyler Speier Events, we believe in the power of visual storytelling and creating a deep sense of belonging through intentional design. For this year’s space themed gala benefiting CADA (Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse) in Santa Barbara, our team set out to create an environment that felt both awe-inspiring and intimately connected. The journey began with a futuristic entry tunnel, designed to foster a feeling of transition as guests left the everyday world behind and emerged into a mesmerizing, celestial dining nebula.

The ballroom was a cohesive blend of high-tech innovation and joyful atmosphere. We anchored the space with a light-up LED Infinity dance floor and a bespoke custom stage facade, creating a modern command center for the evening’s entertainment. To add a layer of ethereal magic, we curated the room with LED glowing spheres that served as soft, ambient “planets” orbiting the celebration. It was such an honor to see our creative vision come to life through these immersive details, providing a stress-free and captivating experience for every guest.

As both an event planner and floral designer, I love finding the balance between architectural elements and organic beauty. For the tablescapes, we designed tall centerpieces featuring a lush palette of white and purple blooms, mimicking the mysterious depths of a galaxy far, far away. While the design was otherworldly, the heart of the event remained focused on our local community. We are so proud to support CADA’s mission in Santa Barbara, proving that when we dream big together, the results are truly stellar.
