Gigi and Tayler’s backyard wedding was a vibrant celebration with long-time local friends as well as guests who traveled from  Georgia, where the couple currently resides. This wedding was hosted by the Father-of-the-Bride at his beautiful estate in Montecito, just down the street from Lotus Land! Guests walked from one lovely garden to the next as they progressed from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to reception. From the rainbow colored florals created by our TSE floral team, to the bright orange dinner plates from Theoni, we loved how full of color this wedding design was.

The entire vendor team pulled off an amazing event, including Bright Event Rentals, Bella Vista Designs, La Tavola, Seasons Catering, K Designs,  and Angelica Strings. The glam team was on-point, Breanna Stewart gave GiGi a glowing bridal look as the bridal party got ready at Hotel Californian. Photography duo, James and Jess, brought their A-game as usual, and captured this stunning day with equal radiance.

Ceremony

Surrounded by lush trees and groomed hedges, the ceremony flowers popped with color. Gigi and Tayler walked down a lush floral aisle to classical music played by Angelica Strings, and said their vows under a timeless rounded arch.

Cocktail Hour in The Garden

Cocktail hour was a short stroll to an adjacent garden. A bar with custom watercolored wallpaper by K Designs welcomed guests with signature cocktails and Seasons Catering setup a delicious array of charcuterie boards and other canapés. Rose and lavender bushes surrounded guests while they mingled, sipped drinks, and took in the beautiful scenery.

A Custom Seating Chart Painted to Match the Dinner Plate

The couple fell in love with an orange pattern on a plate at our Theoni mockup, so we decided to have K Designs paint the seating chart to match it. Guests were enchanted by the orange and gold hand-painted wall while finding their table assignment and delighted to find the same pattern on the plates at their seat.

Dinner Tables Overflowing with Flowers Under A Canopy of String Lights

Just a few steps away, the dinner space was marked by a tent of string lights held up by large wood structures by Bella Vista Designs. The dinner tables not only had lush compotes of florals, but our TSE floral team created tall floral centerpieces that gave a cloud-like effect. Guests loved mingling across the table while framed by so many flowers! Instead of table linens, we loved using substantial wood tables and upholstered dinner chairs to create an “indoor-outdoor” feel in the space. This backyard wedding was anything but casual!

 

 

Lelé Patisserie delivered an exceptional cake (as usual!). Our TSE team garnished it on-site with blooming roses and surrounded the cake table with a lush floor arrangement. Blue Breeze Entertainment ended the evening on a high with everyone on the dance floor and Nana’s Kitchen sent guests home with full bellies from their Late-Night Taco Station.

We love the adventure and unique opportunities that come with home weddings. A huge thank you to Gigi’s father, who hosted the wedding at his estate. It made for a one-of-a-kind wedding day that Gigi, Tayler, and their guests will always remember!
