Part 1: The Sangeet & The Baraat

Imagine a vibrant tapestry woven with the threads of two rich cultures, where tradition meets modernity. This was the essence of Libby and Shri’s multicultural wedding weekend at the enchanting Greengate Ranch & Vineyard in San Luis Obispo. As their luxury wedding planner, the focus was on orchestrating this celebration of love, where every detail was meticulously curated to reflect the couple’s unique heritages and personalities.

The Sangeet

The festivities kicked off with a dazzling Sangeet, a vibrant pre-wedding celebration filled with music, dance, and unforgettable moments. The Barn at Greengate Ranch was transformed into a kaleidoscope of colors, with splashes of pink and orange flowers adorning every corner.  Guests enjoyed Tacos, Margaritas, a coffee bar, a henna artist, and performances from family and friends.  We loved all of the energy and excitement! 

The Baraat

As guests arrived before the multicultural wedding ceremony, they were greeted with lively music and jasmine flowers.  Shri’s mom also brought fun props and noise makers for the celebration.  We also had a “shade station” – where guests could get parasols, fans, and water – before beginning the processional.  The bridal party joined the crowd, as high-energy music plaid, and Shri was escorted on a horse to the wedding ceremony through the lush vineyards.

A Ceremony of Unity

The wedding ceremony itself was a beautiful fusion of cultures. Libby and Shri exchanged heartfelt vows, weaving in elements of their Jewish and Indian traditions. The ceremony was a poignant blend of ancient rituals and modern expressions of love, culminating in the breaking of the glass, a Jewish tradition symbolizing the joy and hope of a new beginning.
