Elizabeth and Gregory’s destination wedding weekend in Provence was absolutely incredible.  We bought out Chateau Fonscolombe, just outside of Aix en Provence, so the guests could all stay together and enjoy this historic property.  After everyone arrived and checked in to their rooms, we kicked off the weekend with a welcome dinner for all of the guests.  Inspired by the local markets in Aix en Provence, we used local blooms from local farmers, lots of citrus details, and hand-painted watercolor menus to create a classic design. Guests found their seats from a romantic, fairy-tale-inspired scroll that hung from the gates of the chateau, and then enjoyed a family-style, multi-course dinner under a canopy of bistro lights.

A Family Style Dinner was served at the welcome party with Piazzetta Stratciatella and Truffle, Carpaccio of Sea Bream with Citrus Fruits of Provence and local Olive Oil, Artichoke Salad barigoule style and Marseille Mesclun. The main dish was Lamb Shoulder confit with oriental spices, and Chicken cooked on the chest. On the side was served Roasted Potato, Traditional Provencial Aioli, Vegetables of Provence with Lemon Olive oil. Finally, dessert was Pavlova with seasonal red fruit and lavender vanilla ice cream, and Lemon Pie with lightly burned Meringue.
