Caroline and Laura were married at Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm in Santa Barbara, California. They wanted their wedding to be vibrant, colorful, autumnal, and floral-focused…and we had so much fun bringing their design to life! We were all so so excited when Green Wedding Shoes asked to share this wedding, you can check out their feature here.
Laura wore a custom suit and Caroline wore a gown by Hayley Paige. Their bridal parties wore jewel-toned dresses in varying colors and textures. They wanted their wedding to be colorful, vibrant, and fun – so we used a full autumnal, jewel-toned color palette to bring their vision to life. Laura wore an abundant boutonniere created with seasonal blooms and foliage, and Caroline carried a bouquet of autumnal blooms, including quicksand roses, butterscotch roses, brunnia berries, eryngium, ranunculus, and autumn foliage.
The ceremony took place on the bluffs overlooking the pacific ocean. We used a triangular arch to frame the space, covered with blooms. The florals were designed to progress in color as they “grew” up the arch, starting with blue, then purple, red, orange, butterscotch, and blush. The back of the chairs were lined with autumnal foliage and pampas grass. With a clear view of the ocean and the California coastline in the background, it was picturesque!
After cocktails in a botanical greenhouse, guests entered the reception space. K Designs created an acrylic seating chart, which we lined with greenery and florals to create a “tunnel” going into the greenhouse space. A large arch of rainbow-inspired florals lined the main entrance to the greenhouse, which was also styled with taupe velvet curtains. The tables were designed in three styles: long wooden tables with abundant hanging arrangements overhead, round tables with navy linens and tall organic centerpieces, and additional round tables with lower, abundant floral compotes. The table numbers were hand-painted pomegranates. Each place setting had a watercolor menu, painted to match the florals on the table and a hand-painted guest name on each.
Over the dance floor, we created a massive hanging structure with greenery and hanging edison bulbs. Guests could enjoy the lounge near the dance floor, with textured furniture. At the bar, a painted menu of the couple’s dog showcased the signature cocktails.
Seasons catering served an incredible autumnal-inspired menu, including Burrata and wild arugula salad, Roasted butternut squash soup with yogurt and cilantro, Prime flat iron steak, Horseradish crusted salmon, Risotto with butternut squash, wild mushroom, sautéed spinach, with caramelized onions.
It was such an honor and a joy to be a part of this incredible day for these two incredible women!
