As a luxury destination wedding planner and floral designer, I get to work on some incredible events, but Adam and Brianda’s wedding weekend at Glenmere Mansion was truly special. This New York wedding was all about their love story, set against the backdrop of an Italian-inspired villa in the Hudson Valley.

The wedding day started with rain, which meant we had to make some adjustments. Luckily, Glenmere Mansion is stunning both inside and out. The mansion’s European-inspired design and luxurious decor created a really cool atmosphere for Brianda and her bridesmaids to get ready in.
Since the rain continued into the afternoon, we moved the ceremony indoors. It was still an amazing setting, filled with beautiful floral arrangements (designed by yours truly!).
As the cocktail hour began, the rain clouds began to part, and a breathtaking sight unfolded before us. A vibrant rainbow arched across the sky, casting a magical glow over the grounds of Glenmere Mansion. It was as if the universe was celebrating the union of Adam and Brianda.
Sebastian Allen, the talented film photographer, captured the moment perfectly. He snapped stunning photos of the bridal party running through the rain-soaked grass, their laughter echoing through the air. These images will forever be cherished as a reminder of the unexpected beauty that can arise on a wedding day.
This unexpected weather change reminded us all of the importance of flexibility when planning a wedding. While we may have initial plans, sometimes the best moments happen when we embrace the unexpected. In this case, a rainy day turned into a rainbow-filled celebration, creating a truly unforgettable memory.
As the sun began to set, guests moved to the barn for the reception. Walking into the space was like stepping into an enchanted forest. Towering tree-like centerpieces lined the feasting tables, their branches reaching high above, creating a canopy of greenery. We nestled bowls overflowing with vibrant fruits amongst the branches, adding an element of abundance and visual interest. Instead of traditional linens, we opted for luxurious fabrics draped across the tables, adding a touch of drama and romance. The long tables were further adorned with a mix of tall, elegant taper candles in glass cylinders and smaller, more whimsical floral arrangements, creating a dynamic and inviting tablescape.
Beyond the tables, a checkered dance floor awaited, promising a night of fun and celebration. A stage, set against a backdrop of playful draping and adorned with colorful flowers, was ready for the evening’s entertainment.
After dinner, Brianda surprised everyone with an outfit change, slipping into a shorter, party-ready dress and adding some fun accessories. She and Adam cut the cake, and then the party really got started! Colorful balloons filled the air as guests took to the dance floor, their laughter and music echoing through the barn.
