As a Santa Barbara-based luxury wedding planner, it’s always a pleasure to create unforgettable events at The Belmond El Encanto. Brooke and Jonathan’s wedding was a dream come true, blending timeless elegance with lush, natural details. Every element of their green wedding at Belmond El Encanto was designed to celebrate their love story while complementing the beauty of this iconic venue. Fun fact: the whole design started with this Dior China Pattern. During one of our design meetings, we fell in love with it–and then every single design decision from the wedding was inspired from this! I even stopped by Dior in New York City to get inspiration.
The ceremony took place at El Encanto’s enchanting Lily Pond, adorned with lush hydrangeas floating between the waterlillies. Guests were seated along woven chairs on either side of the pond, facing a massive floral arch. This lush, oversized arch was adorned with ivory and green blooms, and nearby baskets overflowed with fresh flowers, enhancing the natural beauty of the space.
Following the ceremony, guests transitioned to a beautifully curated reception. The space was framed with soft white draping, lending an air of intimacy and sophistication. Tables were dressed in green-patterned linens, evoking a connection to the garden surroundings while maintaining a luxurious aesthetic. Each table featured low, lush centerpieces of white and green florals, paired with candlelight to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. We brought in ivory carpet to make the ballroom feel neutral and calming – every element of the space, from the floor to the ceiling, was curated and brought in to create the perfect look.
The night concluded with a lively celebration on a custom dance floor situated in front of the stage. The dance floor was decorated with floral accents that tied together the evening’s natural and elegant theme. Overhead lighting added a romantic glow as Brooke and Jonathan danced the night away with their loved ones.
The Belmond El Encanto offers unparalleled beauty, making it an ideal location for couples seeking a luxurious yet natural setting for their wedding. From the enchanting Lily Pond to the stunning reception spaces, every detail can be customized to reflect your vision.
Planning Brooke and Jonathan’s wedding was a true joy, and their green wedding at El Encanto is one I’ll never forget. If you’re dreaming of an elegant, garden-inspired celebration in Santa Barbara, this venue is the perfect choice.
