Featured on Wedding Chicks: Chic Black and White Details Brought Hollywood Vibes to Santa Barbara

This summer wedding took place on the Hotel Californian rooftop, showcasing a beautiful view of downtown Santa Barbara and her coastline. It was an amazing day for a truly amazing couple, Katie and Judah. Katie had a gorgeous, modern bridal look with glam by TEAM Hair and Makeup. The day was captured by Jodee Debes, a talented wedding photographer and delightful human being. Lush florals by our team, luxury rentals from Theoni and BBJ La Tavola, and custom paper goods by K Designs, all contributed to a beautiful and personalized wedding design. It was a pleasure to work with such a great group of vendors!

Rooftop Ceremony with A Large Arch Covered in Pink & Orange Flowers

Our team put heart and soul into this statement ceremony arch. The installation was so large that the bridal party was able to fit under the flowers next to the couple. We loved how the orange and pink flowers contrasted against the bright blue summer sky and black suits and bridalesmaid dresses!

Citrus themed seating chart with watercolored wallpaper & dried orange slices

The custom seating chart made a juicy statement at cocktail hour in the Court of Califia. K Designs  created a watercolored wallpaper custom for the couple, and even added real, dried orange slices on top of the escort cards to give a 3D effect. The couple and the guests loved it!

A bright & bold reception with sunset colored florals & black details

As guests were ushered back up to Hotel Californian’s Sirena Rooftop, they were delighted to find that the space had been flipped from ceremony to reception while they sipped their cocktails! To add a bit of drama to the pink and orange floral compotes, our team brought in bold, black design accents to the tablescape. Black chairs and plates from Theoni, set agains the neutral linens from BBJ La Tavola, provided just the right amount of contrast! The menu design and place cards by K Designs were made to match the butter plate’s pattern. And once again, citrus was featured…dried slices and freshly cut oranges decorated the tables. Guests loved the reception design and enjoyed a delicious candlelit dinner by Hotel Californian’s talented executive chef, Travis Watson.

It was an all-around wonderful day. We couldn’t be happier for Katie and Judah, and we wish them a marriage as bold and bright as their wedding day!
