Sayulita Welcome Party
To kickoff the 2021 season, we visited the vibrant down of Sayulita, Mexico (just outside of Puerto Vallarta). This wedding welcome dinner inspiration was so fun to create – I wandered the local market for colorful inspiration, and we purchased items from local artists to use as decor.
The welcome party took place on the rooftop of a private villa, with sweeping ocean views. We created a vibrant table set-up underneath a cloud of colorful tissues poms, basket lanterns, and tassels. The table was set with natural chargers from Theoni and hammered metal flatware. A beautiful watercolor menu and watercolor place cards were placed at each seat.
My favorite part of the welcome party was the floral hammock. We created a garland of living (and tissue paper) flowers so guests could enjoy the ocean view and take photos. I also loved the beautiful custom map of Sayulita that we had commissioned for this event. It captured the vibrant spirit of the town.
